Yesterday, Steve Crowley, one of the Principal Consultants and founding partners at Service Physics along with Brian Reece, the other Service Physics founding partner and Principal Consultant, and I were talking about 2025 goals and targets. I was impressed about how clear theirs were!
Then Steve said something that is a great reflection, and something really profound and true. He said that what he’d learned was that the more clear you get, the more you realize how much clearer you need to be!
It made me think of the lean metaphor of “lowering the water level”; as you do, you can see different problems that you couldn’t before, because they were too far below the surface. As leaders of a company, and of the people who work in that company, as you get “clearer” and the clouds part, the easier it is for you to see ahead, and to move ahead, and to communicate that vision, and those targets more clearly! And, as Steve so rightly reflected, you can also see the need, and gain the ability, to be even clearer!
Increasing clarity is key so everyone can stay aligned to work together to reach Targets, and solve key industry problems, now and for the future!
