A very wise friend once asked me a very good question: “Do you know what you are doing with your time…every day, every minute, every second?” This question has stuck with me over the years because, simple as it may seem, time is something we aren’t always as conscious of as we should be. There are many things that we all want to accomplish, at work as business owners, leaders or team members and at home, in our personal life and for our community. Each of those takes time. Time, that we need to consciously decide what to do with. What to focus on. What to prioritize. Every year is broken down into quarters, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. And for each of those, we have the ability to make a conscious choice what to do with it. Or not. We can spend our time doing the things that will help us and our companies flourish and thrive, help us to become better people and help others learn, grow and develop so that they can reach their potential. Or we can simply make excuses. So, today, as you go about your day, think about what you are spending your time on and why. What we spend our time on is what we value. What you spend that valuable time on is your choice.
