People think I’m crazy…or at least pushing the limits…when I say that single-piece flow applies to creativity as much as it does to manufacturing or service processes. But it really does – and here’s how. When you get an ‘idea’, do you immediately write it down, and then put it into action? Do something about it? You should…because that’s flow! This morning, while I was showering, I had five different ideas: Fresh Starts to write, examples to use in coaching, and topics to discuss in upcoming KRC monthly newsletters (not a subscriber yet? Visit my website to sign up). As soon as I got out of the shower, I wrote my ideas down, and half an hour later, I’ve already turned three into realities! Flow means doing things NOW, without stopping – and that applies to capturing and acting on our creative ideas, as much as it does to anything else!
