This morning, instead of listening to birds chirping and watching palm trees swaying in beautiful San Diego, California, I’m back at my kitchen table in Illinois reflecting on KataCon3. And what I’m reflecting on, as we heard from so many practitioners, is that one of the biggest difficulties of practicing the discipline of Kata is that is requires…well…a lot of discipline, and as human beings, we’re not very good at being disciplined. We need to practice it every day. This week, after talking with so many wonderful, dedicated creative Kata practitioners I’ve realized that perhaps the biggest benefit of practicing Kata is that it helps all of us improve our discipline so that no matter who we are, or what we do, we’ll be able to achieve our goals and fulfill our purpose! So, Kata Geeks – you gotta Kata! Great week! Look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
